I am beyond grateful to be awarded the UUSC Professional Development Award. This award will allow me to further invest in continuing education courses and certifications that will aid in my professional goals of becoming a Tier 3 RN and eventually a flight nurse. This award, specifically, allowed me to attend the Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) course and provided study materials for the Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) exam. Taking the ATCN course has given me a trauma training that is rarely seen on the Burn Trauma ICU (BTICU), yet beneficial to our patient population and patient outcomes.
