Affinity Groups provide an opportunity for all staff and faulty members to gather around a united purpose to provide a greater connection to our workplace community. If you have an interest in creating an affinity group on campus, please review our existing groups to make sure you are not submitting a duplicate. There may be an existing group you could join! If you are interesting in joining a group, please contact the affinity group contact listed.
While we do try to maintain the most current meeting information, some meeting occurrences may be moved to accommodate the needs of its members. Please contact your Affinity Group Contact for current meeting times, links, and locations.

The purpose of this organization shall be to:
1. Establish and facilitate communication among University of Utah LGBTQIA+ faculty, staff, and graduate students.
2. Provide a welcoming environment to empower, attract, and retain LGBTQIA+ graduate students, faculty and staff.
3. Provide community- and coalition-building opportunities for LGBTQIA+
4. Nurture a sense of belonging among and between members of LGBTQIA+ communities.
5. Support the LGBT Resource Center and serve as a resource to LGBTQIA+ faculty, staff, and students.
6. Promote education on LGBTQIA+ issues, increasing competency for our campus when applicable.
7. Offer professional development and social opportunities to faculty, staff, and graduate students.
8. Advocate for equitable policies and foster an inclusive campus climate when applicable.
