Eligibility
- The applicant must be currently employed part time (20+ hours/week) or full-time (30+ hours/week)
- The applicant may not have received a Staff Council Award or Scholarship within the past two years.
- The applicant must be accepted and enrolled in a degree or certificate program at the University of Utah.
- The applicant may not be a current Staff Council Member.
Awards Criteria and Allowable Expenses
Used for any academic degree tuition pursued at University of Utah (bachelor, master, doctoral) or University of Utah Certificate Program tuition.
Allowable Expenses
Scholarships made under the Faculty Club Scholarship may only include courses taught through the University of Utah. All scholarships are disbursed through the Scholarship Administration System.
Unallowable Expenses
Scholarships may only be used for the recipient. Scholarships are only awarded for the course/semester proposed, these are not transferable to other courses/semesters. Funds may not be used for external courses, trainings, or workshops. Funds may not be used for additional education costs like books, materials, housing, food, or transportation.
Anticipated Number of Awards
The Staff Council will award one (1) scholarship up to $1,250 annually.
Application Review Cycles
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed once per year. Notification of selection by June 15th.
Award Notification Dates
Award grantees will be notified within 30 days of the review date.
